Empowering Communities and Transforming Lives

At Anik Mahila Samaj Kalyan Samiti, we promote inclusive growth, encourage social justice, and create a better future for everyone. Let us work together to build a society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and make a difference.

Women

Challenges Faced by Indian Women

In India, women are the pillars of society. The journey of an Indian woman is tough, whether she is in a busy city or a quiet village. Despite facing challenges regularly, they stand still and firm.

The road to gender equality is still long and winding, with obstacles. On top of that, cultural norms and gender stereotypes still reframe women from equal job opportunities and education.

Violence against women in all its forms highlights the urgent need for social transformation. But violence is not the only challenge faced by women. Many women are further burdened by economic inequality, limited access to healthcare, and discriminatory behavior.

According to recent studies, the gender gap in India has widened to 62.5%. Moreover, these studies suggest that violence and discrimination against women are underreported due to social stigma and fear of repercussions. This means the true extent of the hardships is even greater.

Welcome to Anik Mahila Samaj Kalyan Samiti

Our every deed reflects a heritage of compassion and transformation. Inspired by the legacies of Acharya Vinoba Bhave and Loknayak Jaiprakash Narayan, we aim to uplift neglected groups, fight for social unity, and establish routes to holistic development. Let's work together for a society where no one is hungry, jobless, ignorant, or exploited.

What We Do

Anik Mahila Samaj Kalyan Samiti helps the underprivileged via education, skill development, and campaigns. Our primary goal is to enhance the lives of women, children, and marginalized populations in both rural and urban areas. We want to build a society that is fairer for everyone.

Women's Health Care

Access to healthcare is important for every part of society. A recent survey shows that around 60% of women face healthcare challenges. These women cannot seek necessary healthcare services due to healthcare costs, lack of insurance, or inadequate coverage. These challenges require our attention. At Anik Welfare, we aim to bring these issues to light. We want to break this social stigma by raising awareness among women.

Women's Empowerment

India's deep-rooted tradition and cultural heritage often shape gender roles and expectations. The Indian Constitution provides gender equality. Despite this, there's still a gender gap in literacy rates, labor force participation, and political representation. Patriarchal norms limit women's freedom in households and decision-making. We want to foster a culture of empowerment by helping women achieve their economic independence.

Dowry

Dowry in India has its deep social routes. It has often led to financial exploitation and violence against women. Despite being illegal, this practice is becoming increasingly common. The pressure to provide a higher dowry places a heavy burden on the bride's family. Anik Mahila Samaj Kalyan Samiti is working to end this traditional norm through education, outreach, and legal advocacy.

Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is still one of the major issues faced by Indian women. Studies suggest a concerning number. According to a survey by the National Family Health, nearly 30% of married women face domestic violence. At Anik Welfare, we recognize the critical need to solve this issue. We provide survivors with all-inclusive support services, such as financial help, legal guidance, shelter, and therapy.

Acid Attack Survivors

According to a recent study by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) of India, around 72% of reported acid attacks target women. The survivors face an unimaginable physical and psychological trauma. Despite this, they face discrimination every day. To assist acid victims in rebuilding their lives, we offer holistic support services. We hope to bring light to the lives of these victims.
